As you drive through Indiana and see rows of corn, beautiful lakes teeming with fish and every tree imaginable, you realize great things can grow there and I did.

I could not think of a better place to have been rooted; the simplicity still keeps me grounded. Although my fields have changed many times, from the cold ski slopes of Colorado to the heat of Dallas, the Food I need to nurture my soil and SOUL has remained the same. This Food has allowed me to do, see, and So Live.

My yard is filled with the scent of peonies, lilacs and lilies of the valley. The thrill of digging for the unexpected takes me antiquing and junking. Travel anywhere and I am there. The aroma of locally owned restaurants, especially with aged counters and stools, always lures me. My roots soak up nourishment from the lake, spending time at Cottage 41. Fresh green beans, tomatoes off the vine and a bouquet of herbs from my garden beckon me to the kitchen where I find pleasure cooking up the bounty of the harvest.
