As I wander through life, the art of discovering unique items gets honed with many a curbside pickup. At the end of my pier, the attractive Adirondack chairs with matching footstools that sit and watch over my pretty lake are one such example.
The hunt gets elevated to a new level as I excitedly roll down my window and ask the driver in the next lane, “Hey, can I buy the ice cream cart piled atop the scrap metal in the back of your truck?”
“Creamsicle anyone?”
Auctions, estate sales and the like draw me like a moth to the flame. The enveloping smells, tastes and colors of ethnic foods from across the Big Waters brighten my horizon as I learn and delight in countless flavors. Those one of a kind finds of handmade artisan treasures from a street market of a far away land have a peculiar way of traveling to a new home via my suitcase.
So, I thought if I found some special bits and pieces along my winding path {that I was willing to part with}, I would love to share them with you.
